One of the things I’ll never forget

Just before our first dinner date. Me, Thomas, Antonio and Paulo was at Paulo’s place. Had a couple of beers. Listened to some music. A song comes on, Paulo turns to us and says, confident that he was the only one who knew the artist: “£50 for the person who know who this is.” I listen for a second and say: “It’s Tom Waits.”

The look on Paulo’s face. I will never forget it. 
He was in awe. And he was seriously impressed. I am pretty sure he got a different kind of respect for me after that.
